In the summer ocean water heat up more slowly than the land does .This means the ocean breezes have a cooling effect on coastal lands in the summer .In the winter they have a warming effect on this lands .In January the average temperature is a mild 45.f (7 .c).In july the average temperatuer is only (60.f ) (16 .c).
